Mythological Importance of the Land

The land earmarked for this temple has been of great religious and spiritual importance as it was deeply associated with our Hindu mythology as famous Astrologers revealed it. According to the astrologers, it was the place where the Pandavas lived during the period of their exile. The Arjun middle pandava did a fervent penance to acquire the holy boon called ‘Pashupatham’ from Lord Shiva, who is the custodian of it. Lord Shivji accompanied by Maa parvathi, bestowed the ‘Pashupatham’ to Arjun at this place. Later Arjun established a ‘Shiv-Parvathi temple at this Holy Land, and that temple had existed here till 800 years ago.

Lord Shiva makes benign presence with his consort Sreeparvathy, the embodiment of Shakti provides holy vibration in this land, so those who the seeking devotees attain blessing like virtue of marriage (Mangalyam), offspring (Santhanalabdhi) and all kinds of prosperity at this temple.

Within this short span of time, there have been instances of girls getting married and childless couples getting blessed with children after worshipping at this temple.

The Samithi is also gradually grown. Due to the large demand from devotees and well wishers for a Lord Ayyappa Temple, we requested Govt. of India, Ministry of Urban Development to allot a piece of Land for constructing Lord Ayyappa Temple.

The Ministry has convinced the need and kindly considered the request. As a result 2000 sq. mts. Land was allotted at sector-6, Pushpvihar. With dedicated hard of the managing committee and wholehearted support of devotees and well wishers we could complete the sanctum Sanctorum (Sreekovil) which is the first phase of construction, and conducted the consecration ceremony on 31 March 2006.
